The Melody
of Life
Animation, 14 min, 2005
After losing his sight in a terrible accident, old Albin is forced out
into the streets to make his living as a street musician. Together with
his newfound chimp friend Chiko, he manages to construct a frail, but
tolerable existence...
One day two young roughs get interested in the old mysterious barrel
organ that Albin plays. This is the beginning of a series of events
that will completely turn Albin's life upside down. It soon becomes
apparent to him that nothing will ever be the same...
Daniel Lenneér's first animated picture. It nearly killed him
but gave him the Non Stop movie award in 2004.
The film is genuine swedish child story with a modern twist.
It's an epic tale about friendship, misery and the raw impact of rap
music.
